Hiring Policies
We hire teachers based on their professional background, with particular attention given to their philosophy in working with children. Our staff members are expected to have experience working with children and/or education in Early Childhood Development. Most of our staff have both.
Teachers are interviewed carefully and their references are thoroughly checked. After a satisfactory performance during a three-month trial period, a teacher becomes a regular member of our staff, receiving ongoing training and evaluations. As the state regulations require, a criminal history check is filed with the State Patrol for each new employee. Staff members are required to obtain First Aid and CPR certifications, a TB test, and Washington State S.T.A.R.S. training if needed.
